BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A third student at Biloxi High School was diagnosed with chicken pox Tuesday. School officials said two other students who were diagnosed last week have returned to school fully recovered.
Superintendent Dr. Paul A. Tisdale said parents should not be alarmed by the latest news, but should continue to monitor their children for symptoms, which could include fever and skin rash. If the child develops these symptoms the parents should keep the child at home and consult their physician.
The student diagnosed Tuesday will not return to school until fully recovered, Tisdale said.
The school district had canceled several athletics events after two students diagnosed last week, but the athletics schedule has resumed.
