Fruit stops traffic on I-110

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - If you were caught in traffic in D'Iberville Friday night, that was because fruit was blocking the interstate.

D'Iberville Police say the driver of an 18-wheeler truck was going north on I-110, when the load of fruit in the back of her truck dumped out onto the road at Sangani Blvd. It happened a little before 6:30pm.

As police directed the heavy traffic, fireman sprayed the fruit over onto the shoulder of the road and began shoveling it into a pile. The driver was traveling from Baton Rouge to Prentiss, Mississippi.

No injuries were reported.
