MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Moss Point children want to celebrate another school year. But mother nature is apparently not ready to host the outdoor party.
The Moss Point School District's annual "Back to School Rally" scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The seventh annual get together will now be held on September 17.
Since it's inception, the rally has become an annual rite of passage for students in the Moss Point School District. Its goal is to get everyone geared up for the new school year by bringing students, parents, teachers and coaches together for a night of fun.
Before delaying today's rally, Moss Point Schools Superintendent Kim Staley told WLOX News, "This year's event promises to be the best ever with food, games, door prize giveaways, and information from businesses and organizations together to show they support for the students and the district."
