D'Iberville police investigating eight overnight car burglaries

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - D'Iberville police need your help solving a string of overnight car burglaries.

Some time between 12 am and 6 am Saturday morning thieves struck eight cars in the Riverwalk and Cypress subdivisions. Officers say they made off with radar detectors, stereo equipment, and money among other items.

D'Iberville police say most of the cars were not locked. However, thieves broke a window to get into a car that was locked. Officers say the victim had left her purse on the seat.

If you have any information you are urged to call the D'Iberville Police Department at (228) 396-4252 and ask for Captain Keith Davis.

Officers are stressing that people need to lock their cars and not leave valuables in plain view.
