OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) – Two Ocean Springs residents who called police about a home invasion ended up being the ones arrested Friday afternoon.

Around 4:30pm, Ocean Springs Police received a 911 call from Adrian Diego Jenkins, 30, and Heather Lynn Stubbs, 32. They said two men walked up on Stubbs, forced her into the house, and demanded money.

While investigators were at the home interviewing the victims, they said they discovered "a felony amount of marijuana," and other items that are typically used to distribute pot.

Police also found a firearm on the property. And since the home on Chalmette Avenue is within 1500 feet of LeMoyne Park, that offense has two components which can carry enhanced penalties.

Jenkins and Stubbs were both charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm and being within 1500 feet of a park. As of Friday night, no bond had been set.

The Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County was notified of the ongoing investigation and will assist as the investigation progresses.
