SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Wind down the week with a great laugh. The hilarious comedian Kevin Hart is brining his stand up to the IP Casino Friday beginning at 8p.m.

The crew over at Gulf Islands National Seashore invite you aboard their flat bottomed boat for a marsh tour. Discover the plants and animals that thrive in our southern salt marshes. The tours run Friday through Sunday and it's free but you must call and reserve a spot.

Girls who want to have fun can head on over to the Beau Rivage Saturday night for the one and only Cyndi Lauper. The singer, songwriter and actress will perform some of her biggest hits from "Time After Time" to "True Colors." The concert begins at 8p.m.

Get moving to the beat of contemporary bluegrass. NewFound Road is a nationally recognized band you won't want to miss. They will take the stage Saturday at the Marcy C. O'keefe Center from 7p.m until 9p.m.

Watch roping at its best, The Deep South Team Roping is performing Saturday at the Harrison County Fairgrounds. It's free so come out and watch and maybe even learn a few tricks.

The City of Long Beach invites you to bring the family over for their annual festival including arts and crafts, competitions, games, salute to the military and much more. The fun is Saturday from 10a.m. until 7p.m. in downtown Long Beach.

We want to hear about your events. If you have something going on make sure to post it on our community calendar.
