MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - A South Mississippi construction worker died during his first day on the job, and heat is to blame.
Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus told WLOX news that Melvin Caldwell, 48, died Monday afternoon of hyperthermia.
He had been working on Main Street in Moss Point. Caldwell is South Mississippi's first known, heat related death.
