SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Get the children back to school ready and maybe even get a jump start on your Christmas shopping. Friday and Saturday clothing and shoes under $100 will be tax free, and plenty of stores are running sales and extending hours.

Motorcycles will cruise up and down the coast this weekend for the 3rd Annual Bike Fest. Guests can enjoy live music, several contests, a poker run for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and much more. The fun takes place throughout the Gulf Coast with the main location at the Characters Lounge on Highway 90 in Ocean Springs.

Wind down your week with a peaceful sunset cruise. All aboard the McCoy's river tour boat for a ride down the Pascagoula River to see just what happens when the sun goes down over the misty river. Seats are limited so make sure to reserve your spot. The boat departs the dock at 6:00 p.m.

The oil won't stop children from casting lines in the Annual Costal Conservation Association kid's fishing rodeo. Saturday children ages five to 13 are invited to throw out their lines and learn fishing and conservation lessons at the Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi beginning at 8:00 a.m. Prizes will be given out for the biggest catches.

Adults can do some fishing, too at the 16th Annual Carl Legett Memorial Fishing tournament. The fishing frenzy kicks off Friday through Sunday behind the Isle Casino.

We want to hear about your events. If you have something going on make sure to post it on our community calendar.
