Police say home invaders used assault rifle

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Pascagoula Police are investigating a home invasion.

Officers said they began searching for suspects Wednesday morning after two people reported being attacked in their Monaco Lake Apartments.

One victim said someone knocked on his door asking for help finding a baby. When he opened the door, he said he was attacked by two men. One of which was wielding an AK 47 assault rifle.

The victim said he was struck by the rifle numerous times.

Officer Richard Davis and his K-9, "Rambo," tracked the suspects to a nearby apartment where they found seven people hiding inside.

Along with the suspects, they found two computers, two phones and two wallets. They also located what they believe is the assault rifle.

Arrested and charged with home invasion are 40-year-old Michael Myers and 21-year-old Shelton Deangelo.

Charged with accessory before and after the fact are 29-year-old Mandy Pace, 21-year-old Jamie Delaughter, and 16-year-old Jessica Burroughs who will be charged as an adult.
