Moss Point man dies after morning fight at Waffle House

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - A fight at a Waffle House in Pascagoula Tuesday morning ended with one man dead. Now Pascagoula Police and the District Attorney's Office are investigating what happened.

Just before 8:30am, police were called to break up a fight the Waffle House at 1423 Denny Avenue. When officers arrived, they found other patrons had already stopped the fight, which involved several people.

Police detained Brian Connely, Junior, 34, of Moss Point outside the restaurant. But after being handcuffed, officers said Connely lost consciousness and fell to the pavement.

EMTs treated Connely and took him to the Singing River Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:15am.
