Biloxi man killed in New Orleans train robbery

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) - A Biloxi man was killed during an attempted train robbery in New Orleans this weekend.  The robbery happened early yesterday morning.  The victim was 52-year old Fred Gibbs of Biloxi.  Gibbs was the conductor on a westbound C-S-X train.  The train was stopped for traffic, when authorities say a robber boarded the train and tried to rob the conductor.  According to New Orleans police,  the robber then shot and killed Gibbs.  Police are still looking for the robber.
