D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - There's a twist in the D'Iberville home invasion case. One of the victims inside the home Tuesday morning was taken to jail.

Investigators told WLOX News that Austin Swarts, 19, has been charged with possession of a counterfeit substance and possession of marijuana. Investigators now believe the break in was the result of a drug deal gone awry.

According to Investigator Travis Sheaffer, the incident started when six men allegedly kicked through front and back doors before they raided an 83-year-old's home. She wasn't hurt. Neither were the other two people inside the home, the victim's great grandson, Austin Swarts, and his friend Desiree Parker.

Police said the six people charged with burglary and felony malicious mischief in the break in were Brian Webb, Mark Seymour, Allen Harris, Michael Allen Mosser, Thomas Lawrence, and Anthony Rodriguez.

On the morning of the break in, Swarts told police he knew the attackers, and he thought they were coming to assault him. A day later, investigators said they figured out why Swarts thought he was the target. Based on the evidence collected at the scene, police determined Swarts had sold fake pills to the suspects. And they allegedly broke into the home to get their money back.

By Thursday morning, D'Iberville police had also arrested both Swarts and Parker
