GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A federal jury has convicted Biloxi pharmacist Nick Tran on all 24 counts of conspiracy to illegally distribute prescription narcotics. This was the second trial for Tran.

The first trial ended when a jury dismissed some of the counts and was undecided on the remaining charges. Nick Tran operated a pharmacy on Division Street which was raided by federal agents, who also raided an adjoining medical clinic.

Tran was accused of working with two doctors to operate a so-called "pill mill" that doled out hundreds of prescriptions for narcotic pain killers and cough syrup. He will be sentenced sometime in September.

Tran's defense attorney, David Morrison, told WLOX News, "Anybody can win if they get multiple times to roll the dice."
