Six arrested in D'Iberville home invasion

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - D'Iberville Police arrested six people in a home invasion on West Gay Road early Tuesday morning. More arrests are expected. An 83-year-old great-grandmother was inside the home with her great-grandson and his girlfriend, when police say six male suspects kicked in the front and back doors of the home.

Capt. Keith Davis told WLOX News, the victims barricaded themselves in a bedroom and called 911. Davis said the 19-year-old great-grandson told officers he knew the attackers and believe they were coming to assault him. Davis could not elaborate on a possible motive. 

Police captured the suspects while they were trying to flee the home.

Under arrest and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and felony malicious mischief are:

  • Michael Allen Mosser, 17, Biloxi
  • Thomas Lawrence, 24, D'Iberville
  • Anthony Rodriguez, 17, D'Iberville
  • Brian Webb, 18, D'Iberville
  • An unidentified juvenile age 15
  • An unidentified juvenile age 16

Judge Albert Fountain, Jr. denied bond for Webb who was out on bond from a previous burglary arrest at the time of this arrest. Fountain set bond ranging from $75,000 to $500,000 for the remaining adult suspects. All are being held at the Harrison County Jail. The two juveniles are being held at the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police say while at the home, the suspects damaged the male victims vehicle, breaking all of the windows out of car and kicking dents into the sides.

Capt. Davis said the suspects did not have weapons, and none of the victims were injured in the incident. The cases remains under investigation and more arrests are expected.
