OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - The subject of a WLOX Action Report now faces even more charges related to his used car business.

Rusty Keenum, the owner of TK Motors, is charged with seven counts of false pretense after an early morning search of his home. The search was executed by the state Attorney General's Office and Jackson County authorities.

Back in April, Keenum was charged with two counts of felony false pretense. He's currently out on a felony bond.

Jackson County Sheriff's investigators believe over the years, Keenum has embezzled money from about 50 people through his car dealership and his other business, Dr. Credit, through check schemes, and for taking down payments for vehicles he never produced.

At least a dozen people who purchased used cars through TK Motors contacted Action Reporter A.J. Giardina earlier this year. They all told him they paid for cars, but never received them. Some of the customers told WLOX News they had been waiting two weeks for their cars; in a couple of cases customers say they waited two months for their vehicles.

Authorities say numerous other charges against Keenum are pending. If convicted on all seven false pretense charges, Keenum could get up to 70 years in prison and face a $70,000 fine.
