JACKSON, MS (WLOX) - Governor Haley Barbour announced Thursday morning that he will not grant clemency for Gerald Holland.
At 72, Holland is Mississippi's oldest death row inmate. He's scheduled to die tonight at 6pm for the brutal rape and murder of a Gulfport teen in 1986.
Krystal King was just 15 when Holland attacked and murdered her. King's mother will not witness tonight's execution of Holland, but her other two daughters are expected to be there when their sister's killer is put to death.
David Elliott will be at Parchman and bring you the latest on WLOX News and WLOX.com as Mississippi carries out the Holland execution.
