BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency says the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality found six to seven hard tar balls on the beach in Bay St. Louis.
The SCAT Team made the discovery in the area between the Bay St. Louis Bridge and the St. Stanislaus Pier. The tar balls, which officials say where found on Saturday, are black in color and have the appearance of modeling clay.
Officials say if anyone from the general public think they have found tar balls or anything out of the ordinary, please do not touch or remove the item.
Instead, contact the Emergency Operations Center at (228) 466-8320 to report the location.
