NOAA predicts oil is pushing farther away from MS coast

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Officials are saying nearly 190 miles of boom have been put out in an effort to contain the oil that is still leaking from the Deepwater Horizon oil well in the Gulf of Mexico.

As of Sunday, NOAA predictions are a bit more optimistic for the Mississippi Coast than they were last week.

Projections indicate a significant wind change from the North may push the oil away from our shores and around Louisiana.
