Behind the scenes at Fallen Oak

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - On Friday, the Champions Tour pros tee it up at Fallen Oak and the inaugural Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic is underway. The players are on the coast playing practice rounds and participating in community events.

While the spotlight falls on the players, a number of people behind the scenes work to make the Champions Tour work.

"We make new sets of clubs or adjust existing clubs," Max Puglielli said as he put a shaft together outside the Adams Golf trailer.

A small village, filled with trucks and trailers is set up to help the players and the event. Paul Schueren is a physical therapist.

"Here in our trailer the players can come in and get all the care they need," Schueren said..

The Nike Mobile Pro Shop gives spectators a look at the company's new equipment and apparel.

"Consumers come in and have a special experience seeing all the new stuff from Nike Golf," Scott Sullivan said.

The Golf Channel is busy this week getting ready to televise the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic to a worldwide audience.

"We'll have 16 cameras, several towers and mobile vehicles that can be moved around the course," director John DelVecchio said.

The three day Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic begins Friday.
