The Coral Restaurant inside Beau Rivage has undergone a major facelift. It is now an imaginative re-interpretation of a classic mid-20th century steak and seafood restaurant.
As you enter Port House, you immediately transcend into a different place. Chicago architect Jordan Mozer designed everything from the furniture to the dishes exclusively for Port House.
Obviously the design is unique, but the food is top notch as well.
There's a large array of seafood, steaks, lobster, dry-aged prime meat, Kobe beef, fish flown in from Hawaii daily, and actually, 16 different lobster dishes.
Beau Rivage Executive Chef, Joseph Friel worked in New York City for many years. He really honed his skills over the last 11 years while working for Donald and Ivana Trump at New York's Plaza Hotel. He also catered for the likes of Eddie Murphy, Mary Tyler Moore and Melissa Rivers before coming to South Mississippi. .
Port House serves hard to find items like: Prime dry-aged strip, Kobe beef and South African lobster tail. Some of their signature dishes include Lobster Fra Diavolo, Lobster Beauvoir, Lobster American and lobster bisque.
The number one seller in the restaurant is the prime filet.
For an appetizer you can get the famous Port House seafood platter with six oysters from three different places, Hawaiian crab claws, Maine lobster, shrimp and more. It's served with five different sauces.
While your eyes dance at the custom design, your nose will smell the aromas and your mouth will delight in the tastes. In other words, your senses will be tested.
