OXFORD, MS (AP) - Nathan Stanley strengthened his hold on the starting quarterback slot for Ole Miss, leading the Blue to a 49-28 win over the Red in the spring game.

Stanley directed touchdown drives Saturday on the opening series of each half for the Blue, highlighted by a 23-yard touchdown pass to Markeith Summers. Stanley, who backed up Jevan Snead for the past two seasons, finished 11-of-16 for 165 yards and led four touchdown drives.

Reserve quarterback Raymond Cotton, playing with a partially torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, was impressive in selected series with both squads. Cotton was 5-of-7 for 178 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown pass to Jesse Grandy.

The Blue was comprised of the No.1 offense, defense and special teams units. The Red was allotted seven points each quarter.
