GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) – The baseball complex on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport appears to have taken a direct hit from the overnight storm that blew across south Mississippi.
The fences at the Clarence Johnson ballpark are mangled. A storage shed has toppled over. And netting near at least one dugout is torn.
A cold front blew across the coast in the early morning hours of Thursday. It brought rain, lightning and occasional wind gusts to the area. Meteorologist Tommy Richards says the roughest part of the storm is now well to the east of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
