JACKSON, MS (AP) - Mississippi's top election official says petitioners have enough signatures to put an anti-abortion proposal on next year's ballot.
In 2011, voters will be asked to support a ballot initiative that would give unborn fetuses human rights. A similar proposal goes before Colorado voters this fall.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says the petitioners got more than the minimum 89,285 signatures required to get the initiative before voters.
