PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) – A Pascagoula man is in jail after leading police on a chase through two cities Wednesday with his six-month-old baby in the car.

Pascagoula Police stopped 26-year-old Christopher O'Neal Boggan for improper lane usage. But during the stop, police said, Boggan took off.

Pascagoula police said they called off their chase after Boggan struck another car and crossed into the Moss Point city limits. That's when Moss Point officers picked up their own pursuit.

Boggan's car broke down and he jumped out of the vehicle, leaving his 6-month-old son inside. Officers followed him on foot and eventually caught up with him.

Boggan is charged with improper lane usage, no driver's license, no proof of liability insurance, and Felony Evading. He is currently awaiting an initial appearance before Judge Michael Fondren.

No one, including the baby, was injured during the incident.
