BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Garrett Hartley played in only 9 games for the New Orleans Saints in 2009.  However when his number was called, Hartley delivered.

In the NFC title game, Hartley kicked a game winning field goal in overtime to upend Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings.  The winning kick propelled the Saints to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV.

In Miami Hartley set a Super Bowl record by drilling three field goals over 40 yards helping the Saints sail past the Indianapolis Colts 31 to 17 on February 17.

I asked Hartley if he was still on Cloud Nine following the Super Bowl win?  Hartley responded by saying, "It's funny you said that.  I don't think I really let myself get up there.  It was a tremendous thing what we did and celebrating with friends and family."

Hartley admits it was something special but, "At the same time I have to prepare for next season, but I'll enjoy a couple of months off here and there, just traveling around the country, relaxing and just enjoy being 23-years-old."
