GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The man who told WLOX News he did not understand why anyone would want to kill his wife, is now charged with her murder.

Calvin Lee Bradley, 43, was arrested Monday afternoon in Pascagoula. He's charged with the November murder of Kima Bradley. Investigators said Mr. Bradley has always been a person of interest in this case. They said in recent days they finally collected enough evidence to charge him with the crime.

Kima Bradley was gunned down in November as she left the Gulfport business where she worked. A day later, her large family gathered to mourn her death. Her husband, Calvin Bradley, was one of the people we spoke with that day.

"I don't see why she would be the target of anything," Calvin Bradley told WLOX News at the time. "She never bothered anybody, never hurt anyone, so I don't see why anybody would want to take a chance and hurt her like that."

Calvin Bradley had little to say to our cameras Monday, now that he faces a murder charge.

Monday night, many of Kima's 14 siblings gathered once again, not only to mourn their loss, but to express their feelings over Calvin Bradley's arrest. Thelma Fuller is Kima's oldest sister.

"All the time, I knew it was him," an angry Thelma said. " When they were telling me no, I knew it was him."

Her family described Kima as happy and fun loving, the kind of person who never met a stranger. Kima's daughter said she was very close to Calvin Bradley, and now feels like she lost two people.

Sunday night, Calvin Bradley had actually visited with one of Kima's sisters. Now, he is behind bars at the Harrison County jail.

Kima Bradley leaves behind three children, a grandchild, and an extended family. The family members said the plan to stand together again when Calvin Bradley goes on trial for Kima's murder.
