LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - Jermille Fluker led the Mississippi Gulf Coast in scoring netting 25-point-2 points per game. The Long Beach senior was an all-around player adding 4.7 assists and 4.3 steals an outing.

Bearcats head coach Otis Gaines has nothing but high praise for Fluker.

Gaines said, "He can score in an array of ways. He can shoot the ball, he can drive. He can create fouls on the other team. I don't think there's nothing on the offensive end that Fluker can't do."

Fluker said, "When coach Gaines first came I was an all-offensive player. I just focused on my offensive game. When he came in he helped me work on my footwork and get better on the defensive end for me to get ready to play on the college level."

Pascagoula High and Kentucky basketball standout has offered Fluker a scholarship to play basketball at the New Orleans University and he's leaning that way. Fluker is also considering Louisiana-Monroe, Spring Hill and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Fluker said, "My strong point is going to the hole and finishing up over bigger defenders because I'm only six-foot but I have the ability to finish over bigger defenders."

Dillard is also interested in signing another Long Beach player, senior guard Jonathan Caston who averaged 9.5 points, 6.4 assists and 5 rebounds per game.

Jonathan Caston said, "It's pretty fun with Fluker's offensive ability. Getting to find him, that's why I led the Mississippi Gulf Coast in assists. It's fun playing along side Jermille."

Caston and Fluker may continue to play along side each other in the college ranks.
