Local Golfers Talk About Tiger

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - A Handful of professional athletes transcend the world of sports. What they do makes news. One such athlete is Tiger Woods.

3 months ago revelations and allegations surfaced regarding marital infidelity in Tiger's life. The world's number one golfer went into hiding and will finally emerge Friday morning to talk about his future.

Out at the Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian, local golfers had a variety of opinions on what Tiger should do and say. "His behavior off the golf course is nobodies business. He's a professional athlete. He needs to come back and play golf" says PGA Professional and Director of Golf Russ Bloom.

Others see things differently. "He needs to apologize to everybody because he had an image and he has damaged the image of golf" said David Ary golfer from Ohio.

His playing partner Bob Sedlock agreed "I hope he will apologize for his infidelity and to all the players on the PGA Tour. "But I want to see him come back and start playing again."

Tiger will deliver a prepared statement. He will not answer questions from the press.

The event is scheduled for 10:00 am Friday morning.
