GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The Krewe of Gemini let the good times roll in Gulfport on Saturday. The Krewe paraded with beads down the streets in celebration of carnival season. Piercing screams and waving hands all for one reason.
Hagen Hill said, "All the beads."
Judy Ozbrin said, "Lots of beads."
Mary Anne Hubmann has been letting the good times roll for quite some time.
"I've been riding; I've been throwing. I love it; it's wonderful," said Hubmann.
The veteran parade goer has her bead catching down to an art. For others, it's their first Mardi Gras experience.
A Florida resident said, "It's awesome, the beads. It's awesome!"
Judy Ozbrin said, "It's awesome, the Mardi Gras parade is awesome!"
Ozbirn drove hours from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, just to let the good times roll. She hopes to see more than just flashy beads.
"A little bit of everything," said Ozbrin.
The parade would not have been complete without the Who Dat Nation. The parade's Grand Marshall was Gulfport Mayor George Schloegel.
King Jupiter was J.R. Moses and his Queen Leda was Amanda Broome. This is the Krewe of Gemini's 41st year in the Carnival.
