OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - They serve Who Dat Po-boys and feature a New Orleans Saints "wall of fame."
Longtime Saints fans along the coast know all about BB's Seafood and Po-Boys in Ocean Springs. The Saints flag out front and fleur de lisle on the door are the first indication that BB's backs the Saints.
But the real treat for Who Dat fans covers the wall inside the restaurant. Dozens of pictures of past and present Saints players and coaches are on display.
"We've been here 20 years and since day one we've had all the pictures of the Saints up," said restaurant owner, B.B. Minton. "We used to go over to Morton's place in Lakeside Shopping Center, "Champions" and we got a lot of autographs from a lot of players."
Diners find themselves eating shrimp po boys and crawfish bisque amid the likes of Coach Jim Mora, Kenny Stabler and Archie Manning.
BB's pictures, posters and Saints memorabilia would make any black-and-gold collector proud, even during those dreary days of dismal seasons gone by.
"One year when they were 3 and 13, we took bags and cut it out and stuck it over all the players faces to kind of go with the theme of the 'aints. But we just keep believing and sooner or later it's got to happen," said Minton, with a smile.
It's no surprise that you'll find plenty of Saints fans feeding their appetites at BB's. New Orleans style seafood and po-boys are the specialty there.
The menu also includes a salute to the black-and-gold.
"A Who Dat Po-boy, which is roast beef with chili cheese, mustard and onions. And we've had that for about 18 or 19 years," said Minton.
Nobody at this restaurant thinks the Colts will beat 'dem Saints.
B.B. will be making some room on the wall for Super Bowl champion pictures.
"Saints victory, how about that," he said, when asked for a prediction. "I don't care if it's one point or a thousand points."
