GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - With the Saints headed to Miami for the Super Bowl, people are already making preparations for the big game. Party planning is on many minds.
Black and gold is becoming one of the most popular color schemes in South Mississippi.
Owner of ABC Rental Center in Gulfport David Delk said, "All of a sudden we have this rain coming in of the Saints, and it's great."
Delk, said anything black and gold from table cloths and china to chairs and chargers, it's a seller.
"They want to know already if we have black tents," said David Delk.
Delk said one party planner is steering clear of the traditional big easy party. Gumbo and boudin is out, and a tropical menu is in.
David Delk said, "They're going to have a party called the football fiesta party, so we have a tiki bar kind of thing with a grass top and the frozen drink machine with margarita and strawberry daiquiri mix."
Some game day fans are making sure they already have their order in place.
Owner of Wing Stop in Gulfport, Susan Hurt said, "We're really excited about the Saints being in the Super Bowl, and we have already started accepting orders for Super Bowl Sunday."
Hot, spicy or mild, however you want it, Wing Stop owner Susan Hurt said wings are a hit for game day parties.
"We can only cook so many wings at a time, so we encourage people to order early. So they can pick up the wings when they want," said Susan Hurt.
If you are planning a Super Bowl Sunday party and want the full black and gold table setting plan on spending about $75.00 plus, 100 wings to go around, plan for an additional $75.00. Total running cost $150.00 and a priceless day of Who Dat football.
