ESCATAWPA, MS (WLOX) - A Hurley mother is accused of child abuse and allowing her teenage daughter to help her make meth, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's department.
Officials say 44-year-old Amy Prassenos neglected her 14-year-old daughter by allowing her to be present and participate in manufacturing meth at her home.
Deputies say they found marijuana, meth paraphernalia and other chemicals used to make meth at Prassenos home Friday night. Prassenos daughter was at the home with several teenage friends, but Prassenos was not there.
Deputies found her at an Escatawpa home where she and the owner of the home tried to run away. Officers arrested Prassenos and Rodney Rogers.
They found meth inside Roger's residence along with an active lab. Deputies also arrested Larry Huey Riley, Jr.
The Sheriff's Department says Riley was making the meth in the presence of the 14-year-old. Agents also found a large quantity of meth making materials at Riley's home.
