Man wanted for armed robbery

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Gulfport Police are looking for a man they said robbed the Payday Loans on 25th Avenue in Gulfport at gunpoint.

On Monday afternoon at 1:45pm, Gulfport Police responded to a report of an armed robbery. Once on the scene, police learned the suspect entered the store, produced a handgun, demanded money and then fled.

The incident was captured on video surveillance. The police are looking for a heavy set black man, approximately six feet tall.

Police are asking for anyone with information on the robbery or with any information pertaining to the robbery to call the Gulfport Police Department at (228) 868-5959.
