BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A murder investigation continues into the death of 25-year-old Edgar Savero Huttado. According to the Biloxi Police Department, it happened at Saverdo's home about 11:30 Sunday morning at the Woodland Town Apartments on Irish Hill Drive.

Crime Scene Investigators search for evidence leading to Edgar Savero Huttado's cause of death.

Woodland Towns apartment resident Victoria Jackson says, "We were in the house and I heard the two gunshots and I immediately dialed 911 and me and my sister ran out and we seen the guy that shot the guy running my sister chased after him and I ran down here and Flocko is in front of his door and he had been shot and when I grabbed his hand he was still alive."

Minutes later the victim known to many as Flocko, died.

"When I got to his door he was slumped against his door and my sister was just holding him and he just died, he just died," says Victoria Jackson.

Sgt. John Campbell from the Biloxi Police Department says the suspect, 20-year-old Josh Desilva, fled the crime scene headed north.

Sgt. John Campbell from the Biloxi Police Department says, "A K-9 officer was able to successfully run a track. What it is, is the dog runs a scent track follows the scent of the suspect and the track led to a house over on Rodenburg where we located the suspect."

"Oh I hope he goes to prison for the rest of his life because that's what he deserves he took a good man's life," says Victoria Jackson.

The person of interest would have had to cross this railroad track next to Irish Hill Drive to get to 242 Rodenburg Avenue.

Victoria Jackson says, "He was bragging he was actually bragging about doing this (who was he bragging to) ah, everybody in Pine Crest and that's where they caught him at so I'm assuming somebody told on him."

Woodland Town Apartment resident Victoria Jackson says the person of interest tried to break into the victim's apartment the night before the shooting.

Victoria Jackson says, "He has a wife and he has a son that's blind he was a great, great, great guy he was a really good guy, and he was just trying to protect himself and his family and he just died for that."

Officials from the Biloxi Police Department say the victim died from a single gunshot wound. An autopsy should be performed Monday morning.
