HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Hancock County investigators are releasing new pictures of the wreckage from Friday's plane crash.

Pilot Randy Botts and Karl Smith were both killed when the plane went down off of Caesar-Necaise Road Friday afternoon.

The scene is now being handled by the family and its insurance company. The wreckage still sits in the woods, but will be removed once insurance agents have completed their analysis.

Federal investigators are also analyzing the flight data recorder that was inside the plane. The National Transportation Safety Board hopes it will contain enough information to determine what caused the experimental aircraft to crash.
