RiverBlades Have Luck Of The Irish Shooting Down The Sea Wolves 4-1 In Arkansas

For the third straight game the Mississippi Sea Wolves fell behind 3 to nothing.  However, the Sea Wolves luck ran out on St. Patrick's Day as the home standing Arkansas RiverBlades didn't fold and handed Mississippi a 4-1 setback.

Arkansas scored the only goal in the first period.  At 15:59 of the period Damon Whitten slipped the puck past Greg Gardner.

The RiverBlades bagged two goal in the second period.  On a power-play Dean Stock found the back of the Sea Wolves net at 6:24 of the period.  Buddy Smith extended the RiverBlades lead 3-0 on his 27th goal at 7:47 of the second period.

Coach Bob Woods watched his Sea Wolves strike for their only goal at 19:46 of the third period.  Rookie Mike Scott netted his 24th goal of the season.  Jeff Hutchins and Patrick Rochon got the assists.

At 6:42 of the final period Terry Marchant scored his 20th goal and put the game on ice for Arkansas.  There would be no Sea Wolves comeback on this night.

The loss ends the Sea Wolves win streak at 5 games and goalie Greg Garnder watched his win streak end at 9 straight.
