Woman set on fire

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Friday, police responded to a call about a car on fire at the Mason D' Orleans Apartment complex on Beach Boulevard.

When they arrived, the victim said a man walked up to her while she was in the parking lot, threw some type of accelerant in her face and lit her on fire.

The victim said earlier that day, a dark-colored vehicle may have been following her.

The woman has not been identified, but she was taken to Biloxi Regional, then transferred to the University of South Alabama's Burn unit in Mobile. Police say she's in stable condition.

They retraced the victim's steps with her. Earlier that day, she said she talked to an unidentified white male and a Hispanic male.

She said after a short conversation, the two males left in a mid-90's Ford pick-up truck.

Police want to question the two men but have not named them as suspects.
