GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - For a third time in less than a week, Gulfport police have issued a citation to a W.C. Fore truck driver for spilling sludge on a roadway.

Officers said around 11 o'clock Sunday morning, a driver spilled sludge on Creosote Road just east of Three Rivers Road. The spill shut down part of the road for two hours while company crews cleaned up the mess.

Police say a trucker with the same company had a spill on Cowan Road and Highway 90 on Monday. On Thursday, another spill shut down part of Pass Road for nearly two hours.

Drivers are hauling the sludge from the Port of Gulfport. The owner of the company told WLOX News after the second incident that he was meeting with drivers to remind them to be more careful.
