PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - It's a crime Pass Christian police call reprehensible. They're looking for a man they say robbed an 88 year-old priest on Christmas Eve.

Sergeant Michael Lally says it happened off Saucier Avenue at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church around 9:30 last night.

Lally says that Priest Bartholomew Enslow, answered the door of the rectory, where he resides, to greet a man only to be robbed.

Police say the man pushed his way into the house and held the priest against the wall.  Police are treating this as an armed robbery because the man said he had a weapon.  The man went through the priest's wallet, took some cash, a couple other items then left on foot.

Police are looking for a tall, black man wearing dark clothing.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Pass Christian police department at 228-452-3327.
