JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A Biloxi man is in jail after leading deputies on a chase in Jackson County.
Tuesday, deputies attempted to pull over 31-year-old Gary Nile Louden-Slager, Jr. When he sped away, officials say he passed school buses and other vehicles, and ran several stop signs. When the vehicle finally came to a stop, the driver fled on foot, but was eventually arrested and taken into custody.
Deputies said Loudenslager appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, but refused to take a breathalyzer test. He is charged with DUI and Felony Pursuit.
At the time of his arrest, Loudenslager was out on bond for aggravated assault. Those charges stemmed from an incident in September, when officials said he hit his wife with a car then fled the scene.
