GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Gulfport's fire chief says a Sunday night trailer fire at a murder suspect's home appears suspicious.
Saturday, 45-year-old Twonia Renee Williams of Gulfport was arrested and charged with killing 30-year-old Katrina Sargent.
Family members told WLOX News that Sargent was shot in the face at her West Virginia Avenue home after an argument with Williams. They said Williams is the ex-girlfriend of a man Sargent had been dating.
Then Sunday night, Williams' trailer was heavily damaged by fire. Fire Chief Pat Sullivan told WLOX News that it appears the fire was intentionally set.
Williams was not there at the time. She's in the Harrison County Jail being held on a $2.5 million bond.
