Christmas in the Pass

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - The children of the Pass Christian kicked things off with the sounds of the holidays. Shortly after the kids finished, Santa made his arrival into the city.

With the help of Mrs. Claus, Santa took a moment to lead the countdown to the lighting of the city's Christmas tree.  Once things wrapped up in the park, people headed over to Davis Avenue.

Live entertainment filled the streets with sound. Meanwhile, nearly 50 vendors with everything from gingerbread to holiday wreaths offered plenty of shopping and taste testing.

"It's good food, great people, just a good time," says Mickey Bishop of Pass Christian.

"We're just having a wonderful time. We're getting a little wet, but that's okay," says Pass Christian resident Madeline Smith.

Friday night's festivities also included a parade of decorated boats on the water. The Pass Christian Chamber of Commerce organized Friday night's event.
