The Mississippi Sea Wolves watched the Baton Rouge Kingfish score first. At 2:30 of the first period Mike Renzi slapped the puck past Sean Matile.
Dave Paradise fed the puck to Travis Lisabeth and he tied the game for the Sea Wolves at 4:10 of the first period.
The first stanza turned into a shooting gallery. Jim Vickers gave Baton Rouge a 2-1 lead at 6:19.
Sea Wolves top gun Steffon Walby fired home his 35th goal of the season 25 seconds after Vickers goal.
Jeff Hutchins came up with an unassisted goal at 9:13 giving the Sea Wolves a 3-2 lead. Two-minutes and 10-seconds later Sergei Kuznetsov gave the Sea Wolves a two goal cushion to close out the scoring in the first period.
At 3:50 of the second period Mike Scott bagged a power-play goal for the Sea Wolves. After Baton Rouge netted their 3rd goal of the game, Kent Davyduke made it 6-2 Sea Wolves.
Mike Scott notched his second power-play goal of the game, his 20th goal of the season, at 13:17 of the third period.
Darryl Campbell close out the scoring at 15:51 of the final period on an assist from John Evangelista giving Mississippi a third straight win.
In the last two games against the Kingfish the Sea Wolves have exploded for 16 goals and have given up only 4.
Sea Wolves goalie Sean Matile stopped 45 of 48 shots on goal. Jeff Blair of Baton Rouge turned away 23 of 31 shots.
The Sea Wolves entertain the Arkansas RiverBlades 7:35 p.m. Saturday in the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
