GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport man is behind bars, charged with sexually abusing a young girl. John Dudley Lamm, II, 37, is charged with five counts of sexual battery and two counts of molestation.

Police began their investigation when they learned that Lamm may have sexually abused a 12-year-old girl sometime between June and October of this year. Investigators now believe that abuse happened on at least seven occasions.

Lamm is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $70,000 bond.
