OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Ocean Springs police are trying to figure out if someone killed a man whose body was found by friends at his Linda Drive home. Police have now identified the victim as Michael Surber.

Lieutenant John Flowers said they're looking at surveillance video from the last place Surber was seen, Skeeter's Billiards in Gulfport. But Flowers said it's still too early to link anything that might have happened there to his death.

Ocean Springs police are working with Gulfport police on the case.

The owner of Skeeter's, Gulfport Councilman Ricky Dombrowski, said he knew Michael Surber very well. According to Dombrowski, he and some friends became worried about the man because they couldn't get in touch with him. His car was at the pool hall, but he was no where to be found. So they then went to his house.

Once there, Dombrowski said they managed to open up a window and look inside. That's when they saw their friend lying on the floor, and called police.
