Laurent trial moved to Forrest County

BAY ST LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - The murder trial of Leo Laurent will be moved and held in Forrest County.

A Circuit judge has decided the 32-year-old can not receive a fair and impartial trial in Hancock Count.

The body of Laurent's wife was found in Hancock County. Laurent is the prime suspect in the slaying of 29-year-old Brandi Hawkins Laurent, who turned up missing August 3rd of 2007.

Her body was found in a shallow grave, months later. The trial is set to begin January 25, 2010.
