"Today, while conducting a narcotics investigation, JET agents received information alleging that a 17-year-old male had been kidnapped and was being held for ransom," Director Fisher said. "The mother of the victim was contacted by the suspects and overheard her son being beaten and begging for help. The suspects attempted to extort money from the mother in exchange for her son's safe release."
"After a brief investigation, agents were able to locate and rescue the victim, who had been severely beaten. The kidnap victim was admitted into a local hospital with multiple injuries," Fisher said.
The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Hinds County Detention Center.
