D'Iberville announces it will seek $5.5 million in bonds

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - D'Iberville is moving forward with plans to move past Katrina's damage.  This week the city council passed a resolution declaring the city's intent to borrow $5.5 million in bonds.

Officials say the money will be used to expand and repair city hall as well as road improvement projects on Central Avenue and Mallett Road.

City manager Michael Janus say the $5.5 million would be D'Iberville's share of $20 million dollars worth of projects. The rest would be paid for with state and federal grants.
