By WLOX Staff

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Wednesday evening, kids are back in the Jackson County Youth Detention facility in Pascagoula following a small fire Tuesday night.

A fire investigator says the blaze broke out in the boys section around 9:30 pm. The investigator says only one room had fire damage, but the whole wing suffered smoke damage.

He says three people were treated for smoke inhalation at the site, but they did not need to go to the hospital.

The investigator says they are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
