BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The trial of Biloxi pharmacist Nick Tran is scheduled to begin Wednesday in Federal Court. Tran was one of four people accused of running a prescription drug ring out of a medical clinic and Tran's drug store.

Tran, Dr. Thomas Trieu, his wife Dr. Victoria Van and Richard Trieu were indicted in May 2008 in a 60 count federal indictment. All but Tran have entered guilty pleas to lesser charges, but they are still awaiting sentencing.

Prosecutors allege Tran used his pharmacy to fill illegal prescriptions written at the Family Medical Clinic on Division Street in Biloxi.

In February, Richard Trieu, the office manager at the clinic, entered a guilty plea to one count of knowing about a felony but failing to report it.

In June, Dr. Treiu pleaded guilty to one felony count of prescribing controlled substances to a minor, as well as two misdemeanors.

Dr. Van pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor in June as well.

Jury selection in Nick Tran's trial is scheduled for 9:00 am Wednesday in Federal Magistrate Louis Guirola's court.
